Pam Leal is the Vice President, Provider Outreach for Ingenix, a UnitedHealthcare Company. Ms. Leal has accountability for risk adjustment activities including outreach and education to physicians across the United States. Ingenix is performing risk adjustment activities on behalf of several health plans to ensure they are documenting and reporting the health status of Medicare Advantage beneficiaries through accurate and complete ICD-9 coding.  Ms. Leal has 39 years experience, working 15 years for a multi-specialty physician practice and 24 years with a health plan, primarily working directly with Provider Groups and Hospitals. Ms. Leal was one of the original contributors in the development of ICE, rolling out the 1997 Balanced Budget Act. She is currently serving on the ICE Board of Directors as Secretary.
