Message:	To HICE Participants Welcome back to the bi-monthly CEO Update, designed to keep members apprised of the current happenings at HICE. Here is an update on what has been going on since my last report: HICE 2024 Annual Conference / Registration Opening Soon! Each year, Health Industry Collaboration Effort, Inc. (HICE) hosts a conference that focuses on health care industry developments and operational improvements that offer opportunities to health plans, physician organizations and industry administrators for efficiencies and standardization. The HICE Annual Conference offers the opportunity to hear directly from healthcare regulators from all lines of business on up-to-the-minute topics and is one of the best values in the industry! HICE has once again invited the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for this two-day event in Indian Wells, California, including senior-level managers from CMS Central Office as well as CMS Regional offices. There will also be presentations from healthcare associations and industry organizations, sessions related to California regulatory agencies and topic-specific breakout sessions from HICE teams and industry vendor organizations that you will not want to miss! Watch for a draft agenda that will be posted this month for more information. The HICE 2024 Annual Conference will take place on Monday, December 9 & Tuesday, December 10, once again at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa in the Coachella Valley of Southern California. Registration will be opening in the next few weeks – we look forward to seeing all of you there! New Staff Welcome As HICE activities continue to grow to support the efforts to streamline, simplify, and standardize regulatory policies and procedures that govern the provision of health care services, we are excited to announce the addition of a new part-time support staff member to our team, Lydia Van Weelden. Lydia has joined HICE as the web administrator to support the administrative work of the HICE website related to general activities and the HICE Annual Conference and will manage social media accounts for the organization. Please join us in welcoming Lydia - we are very excited to have her as part of our team!
