Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for the California Board of Registered Nursing

Health Net of California will again be the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) CEU provider for the conference (BRN #13156).

• Day 1 – Thursday, November 14, 2013 - the number of CE hours for Day 1 (5 total) has been determined as follows:

• Keynote Speaker/John Gorman - The Golden Age of Government Sponsored Health Programs: 1 CE unit
• Association Policy Panel: 1 CE unit
• ICE Training Breakout Sessions #1A, #1B, #2A, #2B, #3A, #3B, #4A, #4B: 1.5 CE units for each session (attendees will be given credit for one 1:30 p.m. session and one 3:15 p.m. session, for a maximum total of 3 CE units for these sessions).

Day 2 – Friday, November 15, 2013 - the number of CE hours for Day 2 (3.5 total) has been determined as follows:

• Medicare Part D Overutilization Monitoring System: 1 CE unit
• Preventing Medicare Fraud Waste and Abuse: 1 CE unit
• Dual Demonstration Panel: 1.5 CE units

Continuing Education Units (CEUS) for the Compliance Certification Board (these credits can be used by those who have a certification from HCCA but the credits themselves are CCB credits)

Compliance Certification Board (CCB) has approved this program for 15.3 Compliance Certification Board (CCB) Continuing Education Units (based on the current agenda; subject to change if agenda changes) in one or more of the following areas:

- Application of Management Practices for the Compliance Professional
- Application of Personal and Business Ethics in Compliance
- Written Compliance Policies and Procedures
- Designation of Compliance Officers and Committees
- Compliance Training and Education
- Communication and Reporting Mechanisms in Compliance
- Enforcement of Compliance Standards and Discipline
- Auditing and Monitoring for Compliance
- Response to Compliance Violations and Corrective Actions
- HIPAA Privacy Implementation

The ICE Credentialing Shared Audit Policy Team breakout session has been approved for National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) continuing education credit (1.5 CEUs). Accreditation of this educational content in no way implies endorsement or sponsorship by NAMSS.
