Teresa joined SCAN Health Plan in 2010, where she started in Member Services, which was an incredible experience to learn all the aspects of the Plan. She joined the Grievance and Appeals department in 2012 and has held many different job titles and responsibilities in this department, including Triage Specialist, Coordinator, Supervisor, Quality and Compliance Specialist and her current role of Auditor, where she ensures compliance with and adherence to all regulatory and quality standards. She continues to develop her knowledge as it relates to Grievance and Appeals by staying current with all the changes to the regulatory and quality standards, including CMS HPMS memos and DHCS memos and attending seminars / webinars from regulatory agencies.
