Cheryl Stempson's career in health care began as a registration clerk in the emergency room at Riverside Community Hospital 27 years ago. Since then she has worked in healthcare from the provider and insurance perspective in a variety of roles including, hospital admissions and authorizations, financial counselor and liaison, skilled nursing admissions and home health medical billing. In 2006 she joined GEMCare Health Plan enrollment and operations department and in 2015 she transitioned into health care compliance. Cheryl has been attending HICE meetings since 2008, and joined the HICE Delegated Entity Compliance Audit Team as a Co-Lead in January 2023.
