Valerie Ridge is a Program Director at Anthem Blue Cross, overseeing the CA Language Assistance Program, in addition to her role in Grievance & Appeals supporting the CA Grievance Officer, facilitating Governance Oversight and Regulatory Compliance activities for the West. Valerie has over 30 years of CA Health Plan Experience, having spent over 29 years at UnitedHealthcare (including her time with PacifiCare), prior to joining Anthem in 2021. In her prior role with UnitedHealthcare’s Regulatory Affairs Department, Valerie was very involved with the HICE Access & Availability Team. She is honored to co-lead the Cultural & Linguistics Team and work collaboratively with her peers from health plans and provider groups to ensure limited English proficient enrollees have safe and effective communication with their healthcare providers.
